We adored creating the elegant wedding setting for this small intimate wedding ceremony at Roma Street Parkland which followed with a big celebration.
In short, these two did things their way, creating a wedding that was truly authentic to them, that both they, and their guests could thoroughly enjoy every moment of.
Deciding on having a small, elegant ceremony in the presence of their immediate families and a few close friends, meant they could relax and enjoy their ceremony without feeling like there was a big crowd watching on.
We love it when our couples ask us to be their Celebrant too! I adored bringing their ceremony vision to life with both the visuals of the styling, and also by creating and delivering their happy, relaxed enjoyable ceremony.
Wedding highlights included:
- Having their ‘first look’ photo shoot together at the hotel room, before the ceremony took place. Instead of writing vows, they each wrote a love letter to each other, sharing their feelings. They each read each other’s letters during their first look shoot.
Inviting only their immediate family and besties to their ceremony. This created a relaxed, intimate atmosphere and helped minimise any wedding day nerves.
- Simple Vows. Keeping it simple by saying the short, simple required vows instead of writing personalised vows. Instead having their Celebrant (hi, that’s me!) share some of the many reasons they love each other within their ceremony.
- VIP – Very Important Pooch! Having their adorable Corgi ‘Snickers’ present at the ceremony who excitedly delivered their rings while grinning from ear to ear.
- A happy, relaxed, celebration – Having their ceremony and love story delivered in a relaxed, light and celebratory tone that everyone could really connect with and enjoy, was a huge hit with the guests!
- Epic biodegradable confetti shower. A great way to involve the guests and keep the excitement and energy high while creating an excellent photo opportunity. Talk to us about adding biodegradable confetti cones to your wedding booking.
- Post ceremony celebration drinks with their nearest and dearest, cherishing that time with them, including their grandparents (instead of dashing off for photos). Talk to us about adding a drinks bar to your wedding booking.
- Unique little details like how Ellen hand made Luke’s boutonnière’s with dried florals, which perfectly coordinated with the ceremony décor dried flowers that we provided. And creating wedding newspapers for guests with fun games and a ‘couple quiz’ which they all got really competitive with!
- Having a HUGE reception that evening to party and dance the night away with all their people!
And that’s just a snippet of how they made their day ‘perfectly them’. A timely reminder that you don’t need to do things the traditional or expected way to create a day that is perfect for YOU!
Huge congratulations to the happy newlyweds on your marriage. What an epic day!
We hope you enjoyed hearing about Ellen and Luke thoughtfully planned their wedding, resulting in a truly enjoyable and memorable day for everyone!
