This elegant Brisbane wedding with jacaranda trees at Colmslie Beach Reserve was truly breathtaking. This wedding took place in the middle of Brisbane’s jacaranda season, and was set between two rows of flowering jacaranda trees.
Not only did I have the honour of being being tasked with creating their gorgeous ceremony set up and cocktail hour setting, I was so excited to also be chosen as the couples Celebrant for their special day.
For their ceremony setup, the couple included thoughtful details, like our lace edge rose petal cones and a refreshing drinks bar. For the ceremony setting, they opted for a simple and elegant wedding arbour with a fresh floral arrangement, in the timeless and neutral tones of ivory with greenery.
Before you scroll through the rest of the images, I need to give a huge shout out to Kate from Twig and Fawn Photography. The quantity and variety of angles that Kate captured, are what you would expect when multiple Photographers are shooting, yet Kate captured all of these shots with just herself shooting and did an incredible job capturing this couples day.
Michelle looked stunning as she arrived with her bridesmaids, then made her way down the aisle with her Dad.
The couple opted for a simple, ceremony which was light while still being meaningful, and above all else thoroughly enjoyable. They included their own surprise vows to each other, and had a little fun with their ‘I Do’s.
As a Celebrant, I like to deliver parts of the ceremony from the side, allowing your Photographer to capture beautiful moments like this without the Celebrant being in shot. I know when to be back in the middle to coordinate the ‘I Do’s’ rings and vows.
We love this shot of Michelle, glowing with happiness, enjoying the ceremony, and the words that together we’ve carefully chosen.
Kate from Twig and Fawn Photography did such an exceptional job in capturing every special moment of the ceremony, like this shot of Michelle reaching out to comfort Lindsay as he got a little choked up with the emotion when reading his wedding vows.
After exchanging their surprise vows to each other, the couple exchanged rings before sealing the deal with a kiss to an enormous cheer from their guests.
The couple were then seated at our gorgeous Hampton style wedding signing table, as they signed their marriage certificates, before being introduced as Mr and Mrs and making their way back down the aisle together through a shower of fresh rose petals.
The couple opted for a cocktail style post ceremony setting, with their own chilled drinks and a charcuterie platter for guests to enjoy and celebrate with them.
Fresh flower arrangements were placed on the bar tables in the neutral classic colour palette of this wedding.
Guests mingled, relaxed and celebrated over nibbles and drinks on our cocktail tables and bar stools.
What a truly stunning day and so much fun for all the guests with the post ceremony celebrations with drinks, nibbles at a cocktail hour setting too. Congratulations to the happy newlyweds on your elegant Colmslie Beach Reserve wedding between two rows of flowering jacaranda trees.
