We adored creating the wedding ceremony setup for Katie and Alex’s stylish wedding at New Farm Park. I was lucky enough to also be the Celebrant for their fun ceremony! They definitely achieved their vision for their day being ‘one big party!’
They added our white easel for their own welcome sign to our ‘Pure Love’ ceremony decor package with our tall white plinths adored with their Florists fresh florals.
In line with planning their day to be the ultimate celebration, they ensured all their guests had the best time by having a generous chilled drinks bar in the park, with 6 of our ice filled drink tubs which they filled with their own celebratory drinks.
The ceremony took place at the Ferry View Lawn at New Farm Park beneath a beautiful grand old Fig Tree. As their Celebrant too, I shared their love story of how they met, at the Wickam Hotel of all places! Whilst each of them were out with their own friends celebrating the vote finally being passed to legalise marriage equality.
Alex’s first impression was that he remembered thinking how good looking Katie was – and it was a huge bonus when he found out she was actually straight!
Likewise, Katie thought that Alex was damn good looking – so she downed a bottle of Prosecco and gained enough liquid courage to approach him. You go girl!
The happy couple shared very special vows with each other before exchanging rings and making their way back down the aisle together through a cloud of fresh rose petals and huge cheers from their guests.
After the ceremony, the couple celebrated with guests over chilled drinks in the park, before guests took a short stroll across the lawn to nearby Mary Mae’s for the reception. Meanwhile the newlyweds had a blast having photos around the stunning New Farm Park and Powerhouse building with their super fun wedding tribe.
What a great couple and a fabulous celebration this wedding at New Farm Park was.
