Brisbane’s Botanic Gardens hold a special place in many hearts. With the opportunity for a grand wedding entrance, and picture-perfect backdrop, it was the perfect ceremony location for Jonathan and Phillip’s wedding. As their ceremony stylists, we had the privilege of creating their modern and stylish ceremony setup.
An Elegantly Styled Ceremony
The ceremony itself took place with the couple framed by our signature luxe white circular arbour, adorned with stunning burnt orange and peach ombre dried florals.
The majestic grand old fig tree at Palm Avenue Lawn in City Botanic Gardens, provided the perfect setting for this memorable occasion.
The couple also opted to add our white easel for their wedding welcome sign and kept their guests refreshed with our ice filled drink tubs.
A Grand Entrance – Between the trees
While this arrival features two grooms arriving at their ceremony together, arriving through these trees works equally well all couples arriving together (usually following a ‘first look’ photo shoot together’). This entrance route also suits those having a traditional wedding arrival, being walked down the aisle to their partner.
This wedding party kicked off the ceremony in grand style, walking down the aisle in pairs – groomsmen alongside the grooms’ ladies.
But the real showstoppers were Jonathan and Phillip themselves. Their dramatic entrance, hand-in-hand, as they emerged from between two beautiful trees was iconic! Arriving together they beamed with happiness, as did their guests.
A Surprise Guest
As Jonathan and Phillip took their places and everyone thought they’d witnessed all the entrances, a delightful surprise awaited. The Celebrant announced that someone special was missing. Then along came the couple’s sweet dog, Sadie, trotting adorably down the aisle, eager to join her dads for their special day.
This heartwarming moment perfectly captured just how special their dog is to them.
Jonathan and Phillip exchanged deep heartfelt vows, their love and commitment and personalities coming through in their every word.
A striking aesthetic – Burnt orange, peach ombre and terracotta tones
The vibrant autumnal hues of our dried florals perfectly complemented the groomsmen’s ties and pocket squares, and the terracotta toned dresses of the grooms’ ladies, creating a rich, cohesive and warm aesthetic.
Every detail of Jonathan and Phillip’s wedding from the grand wedding entrance to their adorable pooch, reflected the couple’s unique personalities and love for each other.
