Darryn and Jessica planned an all-in-one garden party wedding and cocktail style celebration and what an epic day it was!
The happy couple chose the stunning Palm Tree lawn at Mt Coot-tha Botanical Gardens for their celebrations, creating a relaxed, elegant and enjoyable atmosphere for their special day which was a huge hit with their guests.
The Palm Tree Lawn at Mt Coot-tha Botanic Gardens is a stunning wedding venue. With the surrounding lush tropical greenery providing both privacy and a picture-perfect backdrop, what a great decision it was to host their garden party-style wedding here.
We adored transforming this beautiful space for the lovely couple’s special day. To give you a feel for the space, here’s a few of our own snaps of the decor.
Our stylish Hamptons bar was accompanied by a shade umbrella. To keep guests refreshed, it was filled with beers on ice, making it’s debut as a ‘Beer Bar’ much to the delight of guests.
Celebratory champagne and chilled waters were added to our ice-filled drink tubs, along with the couples catering and donut tower, presented beautifully on our wooden A Frame Table.
Instead of having a traditional sit-down dinner reception, our tolix style cocktail tables and white bar stools were the perfect addition for the elegant, relaxed garden wedding vibes, allowing guests to mingle and celebrate at the beautiful lawn.
For the memorable certificate signing moments, we provided our chic ribbed signing table and added additional white americana chairs for guests.
To complement the natural beauty of the location, in addition to our fresh rose petal scatter aisle, pops of colour were incorporated by the couple’s Florist, the result was a vibrant space that perfectly captured the essence of the couple’s joy as pictured here by their Photographer.
Following their midday ceremony, the couple were congratulated by guests then everyone got straight in to celebrating over drinks and nibbles!
The newlyweds took a little stroll around the beautiful botanic gardens for photos.
The celebrations wrapped up by 4pm which felt perfect!
Originally drawn to the idea of jetting off to Europe that same evening for their honeymoon, however with their flight scheduled to leave the following day, the newlyweds went out for an intimate dinner at one of their favorite restaurants, while we took care of packing down.
The combination of the colourful decor, stylish details, the stunning location, and a relaxed atmosphere, created a truly enjoyable experience for them and their guests. This allowed them to fully immerse themselves in the happiness of their wedding day and each other without having a lengthy reception.
If like Darryn and Jess you too love the idea of combining your wedding ceremony with a garden party, cocktail style reception, the Palm Tree Lawn at Mt Coot-tha Botanic Gardens is a fantastic venue for this.
