We had so much fun styling this Mt Coot-tha wedding at Palm Tree Lawn. The couple opting for our chic wooden wedding arbour combined with classic white and ivory fresh flowers, concluding the ceremony with an incredible shower of bio confetti.
I was lucky enough to also be chosen as the couples Celebrant, tasked with creating a happy, upbeat and thoroughly enjoyable ceremony which is totally my vibe, and looking back through these photos, of these two lovingly laughing through much of their ceremony, its safe to say I delivered!
When it came to getting married, Gaby knew quite early on in their relationship, that she wanted to marry Dennis, however Dennis had vowed he would never get married.
Over time Gaby realised they didn’t need to be married to share the special bond they have and she gave up on the idea of Dennis changing her mind.
Then on Christmas day to Gaby’s complete surprise Dennis proposed!
Gaby was speechless but once she got over the initial surprise that Dennis was asking her to marry him, she said “Yes” on one condition – that he proposed again in front of her family so they could all share in the excitement too.
So 2 proposals and 4 years later they finally tied the knot, and what a wedding it was!
The couple shared their own personalised vows with each other which were the perfect combination of cheeky, funny and meaningful.
As both an experienced wedding Designer and Celebrant, I ensure my couples are perfectly centered with their arbour, and once they are comfortable, I present much of the ceremony stood off to the side (out of shot) to ensure the Photographer has ample opportunity to capture all the special moments like this.
You really can’t beat a bio confetti wedding exit back down the aisle. Our biodegradable confetti is made from super lightweight rice paper, meaning it floats in the air longer than petals, creating great photo opportunities and its always great fun for wedding guests too!
In keeping with the celebrations, guests enjoyed champagne, served in our ice filled drink tubs. Guests love a celebratory bubbles after the ceremony and its always a good idea to have waters available too. Congratulations to our couple – what a great Mt Coot-tha wedding it was!
