When it comes to iconic outdoor wedding ceremony locations in our beautiful city, the Brisbane City Botanical Gardens is hard to beat.
We had the pleasure of setting up and styling this Brisbane Botanical Gardens wedding ceremony at a favourite spot within the gardens: The Palm Avenue Lawn.

Palm Avenue Lawn – City Botanical Gardens
The couple chose to exchange vows beneath the magnificent, fig tree located on the Palm Avenue Lawn. As you can see from the photos, this tree is a showstopper. With its massive, sculptural branches and towering canopy, it creates an atmosphere that feels both intimate and breathtaking.
The dappled sunlight filtering through the leaves created the perfect lighting for the ceremony, offering shade for the guests as the ceremony took place.
The Decor: Gold Hexagonal arbour
To complement the earthy tones of the giant fig tree without getting lost against the textured bark, the couple chose our Gold Hexagonal Arbour. The geometric lines of the gold arbour provided a modern contrast to the organic shapes of the tree while framing the couple perfectly.
We styled the arbour with a beautiful arrangement of dried flowers in soft pinks, crisp whites, and deep burgundy. The arrangement featured textured pampas grass and dried blooms, which are not only on-trend but also a sustainable and cost-effective option for our couples.
The warmth of the gold and the dusty pink hues looked incredible against the natural backdrop, creating a relaxed, romantic ambience, perfectly suiting this beautiful ceremony location.
A Seamless Stress-free Experience
A major benefit of hiring a professional ceremony styling team is the peace of mind of having experts that are highly experienced at this location and handle the complete delivery, set up, and pack down.
This meant the couple and their guests didn’t have to lift a finger. They could simply arrive, to the beautiful setting, celebrate their love, and then head off for photos while we took care of packing all the decor away.
The happy couple agreed to having a fun little game of ‘Rock, Paper, Scissors’ to decide who would go first with their vows.
From Gardens to Urban Vibes
Following their lovely ceremony beneath the trees, the newlyweds took advantage of the scenery for a fun photo session around the Botanic Gardens.
To add some variety to their wedding album, they then headed over to Fortitude Valley for some edgy, urban photos before making a grand entrance at their reception. Giving their gallery the perfect blend of natural beauty and city chic.
