A Romantic Brisbane River view Wedding
The ceremony featured our brand-new curved floral stage backdrop, thoughtfully designed to accompany our round wedding stage, to provide a luxurious, elevated layer for clouds of ivory hydrangeas to flow. This created a dreamy ceremony setting, lovingly wrapped around the couple as they shared their vows.
To fit with the couple’s vision for their wedding being an elegant, relaxed, enjoyable celebration, they also added our chic white cocktail tables and bar stools and our stylish Hampton style bar and A frame table for cocktail hour celebrations.
Prior to the ceremony commencing, Jamie Eastgate shared some announcements and warmed up the guests ready for a very special arrival.
The Couple’s Heartfelt Ceremony
The ceremony commenced with a very touching moment, when the bride was walked down the aisle by her two triplet brothers — a loving and memorable moment.
In a creative twist to traditional arrivals, the bride decided on her grand reveal being a front-facing arrival. This allowed guests an uninterrupted panoramic view of the arrival of the bride with the Brisbane River in the backdrop, without having to stand and twist around to get that first glimpse of the bride behind. Instead, the only person needing to turn around to see the bride was the groom.
Celebrant Jamie Eastgate led a heartfelt, happiness-filled ceremony. Sharing the couples love story, it was a true celebration that perfectly reflected the couple and captured the essence of the day.
Then came a very special surprise, after signing their marriage certificates, the bride’s father discreetly set up a framed photo on an easel hidden beneath a drape.
The couple made their way back to the stage, ready to be introduced as husband and wife, only to find this surprise waiting for them…
The bride’s father revealed the surprise announcing the official adoption of their beloved dog Ollie, who while owned by the bride’s parents, became so obsessed with the couple (and likewise, them with him), that he pretty much ended up living with them and unofficially being ‘their dog’. So, this was the perfect time to officially make Ollie part of their family right there at the ceremony.
The moment was met with laughter, joy and a very excited and inquisitive Ollie.
Officially introduced as husband and wife and parents to Ollie, the happy couple glowed as they made their way back down the aisle together with Ollie joining them.
